Sunday School of Religion Program (CCD)

Our Sunday School of Religion program, now combined with Saint John’s, provides religious education for children in our public schools in Kindergarten through Eighth grade. Saint Peter and Saint John also have a comprehensive youth ministry program for students in grades 9 – 12, attending both public and Catholic high schools. Our curriculum is built around the four signs of catechesis.

Our Sunday school program is in session from September through May, in between the 8:00am mass (St. Peter) and the 11:00am (St. John) from 9:15am to 10:45am in the St. John school building.

It is so important for our children to develop a solid foundation in their Catholic faith. As parents, it is our responsibility to promote the religious education of our children. While parents continue to be first educators in their child’s life, the importance of a structured religious education program cannot be overemphasized. We live in a complex world and our children need our continued direction and support, increasing their knowledge and making their relationship with Jesus Christ of fundamental importance. We encourage you to take advantage of our parish Sunday School of Religion.

If you have a child in grades 1 – 8, not currently registered, please call 330-453-8493 and ask for Miss Maureen Wood, Director of Religious Education. You may also email at
