Grade 1 Mrs. Jeannie Winberry
Mrs. Jeannie Winberry has taught at St. Peter School for thirty eight years. She is married to Lon Winberry and has three beautiful children, Lonnie, Scott and Trisha. All of her children attended and graduated from St. Peter School. Her family includes two lovely daughter in-laws, Courtney and Michelle. She is the grandmother of two wonderful grandchildren, Avery and Scottie Jr.
Mrs. Winberry graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School and Walsh University earning her BS in Elementary Education. She has continued her education by taking graduate courses at Ashland University, Malone University, Kent State University and Walsh University. She holds a Master Certificate in religion.
Mrs. Winberry volunteers as a committee member for St. Peter School annual auction. She has served on numerous fundraising committees and has been Vice President of the St. Peter Home and School Association. Mrs. Winberry is a member of St. Peter Parish serving as a Eucharistic Minister. She is a member of St. Peter Parish Council and is the coordinator of the St. Peter Marriage Preparation Program. She and her husband Lon, also serve as mentors for engaged couples in the Marriage Preparation Program.
Not only is Mrs. Winberry a dedicated volunteer for our school and parish community, but she has been a volunteer at Mercy Medical Center for twenty one years.
